What did the house extension cover?

Refurbishment and extension in Windsor were an extensive and complicated projects. The greatest challenge that we faced was to fix the problems with the construction of the existing building. It suffered after years of unsuccessful trials to extend the house that other construction companies made. Thanks to our experience and professional approach we managed to address all these challenges and finally deliver results that our clients are happy with. Do what exactly did we do? Two bedrooms refurbishment which included:

Absolutely yes! Refurbishment and extension in Windsor are its prime example. Thanks to our extensive construction knowledge and professional approach we managed to create a large open concept kitchen and add a utility room. What work was done in each of these?

Kitchen

This kitchen is an example of what an inviting interior looks like. While designing and building the kitchen extension we tried our best to keep its suburban nature. We integrated beautiful, traditional, deep farmer sink with the bay window allowing lots of natural light to get into the room. We installed custom made cabinets with rounded fronts at the corners and framed cabinet doors. Our specialists used the layout of the construction walls to maximise the working space. The stove that was used combines the latest technology with retro design. We hid the fridge behind cabinet doors for more seamless design.

The added space also allowed us to create kitchen island with over-the-top hanging lights and free access from all sides. Now the family can gather in the kitchen for a quick snack or a meal or just hang out sitting on bar stools in the heart of the house. The natural stone we used on the floor together with Farrow & Ball wall finishing and new skirting gives a very airy and light feel to the kitchen while keeping its full functionality. Of course, such an extension required us to change and adjust all the installations for a modern home.

Utility room

Utility room is what we can call every house owner’s dream. We built this room as visual extension of the kitchen using the same cabinets and cabinet doors, farmer sink and natural stone floor. We managed to fit in a washing machine, dryer and an electric towel rack while still keeping a very comfortable working space. The extra cabinets we added will fit all the detergents, cloths, and cleaning supplies a house need. Having two windows in the room will provide not only a lot of natural light but also allow natural ventilation of the room.

What amenities did we use in the bathrooms?

One of the most important parts of refurbishment and extension in Windsor was to add two en-suite bathrooms. We have designed and built these luxurious bathrooms having our clients in mind. We wanted to make sure that all their needs will be met. Our experts designed the two bathrooms not only to match the general aesthetics of the home but also to have individual characteristics. We equipped both of en-suites with double basins mounted on a countertop with vanity which we hanged below the countertop. This allowed us to create extra shelf while keeping light and airy feel of the bathrooms. We also installed wall hanging toilets in both and heated towel racks. In both rooms we installed recessed ceiling lightning and air vents.

We build a walk-in shower with floor drain and a glass wall in the smaller en-suit bathroom which allowed us to keep the spacious feeling of the room. Taking care of the aesthetics, we added an accent wall of dark grey natural stone which nicely contrast with bright stone used on the remaining walls and the floor.

The bigger bathroom allowed us to install both a walk-in shower with floor drain and a free-standing bath. We finished the walls and floor with natural stone resembling marble adding an extra luxurious touch.
