Hampton House Extension is yet another project we are proud to present. We have changed an ordinary house into an undeniably unique home with innovative solutions and very stylish design. As always, we paid attention to every detail. We made our clients and their family proud of their house adding details that reflect their own character.
Scope of ground floor extension
Hampton House Extension project covered ground floor side extension and rear extension of a detached house. Although this project was far from being standard, we have created a modern classic looking home. We managed to do it by:
- adding extra space at the ground floor
- rearranging the layout of the rooms
- creating a spacious open concept kitchen
- designing and furnishing a custom-made kitchen
- upgrading all the installations – electrical and plumbing
- laying new floors with stylish skirting boards
- refurbishing walls and ceiling
- building Pitched Structural Glass Roof
- letting a lot of natural light in with large windows in the kitchen and dining room area and beautiful triangular windows and large glass doors going out to the garden
- building a terrace which is accessible straight from the living room
- adding modern and stylish lighting – including warm pendant light over dining table, recessed lights in the kitchen and LED strip recessed light in the hallway

During Hampton House Extension we have also successfully overcome technical challenges and construction site constraints that the original house presented, and we did all of that within only five months. Our comprehensive house extension services allow us to coordinate and perform all stages of design, construction, and build. We do believe that such a home extension not only gives satisfaction to the clients but also significantly increases the value of the existing property.
Kitchen extension
Kitchen has always been the heart of a house, a place where the whole family gathers to enjoy meal preparation together. Having it in mind Hampton House Extension gave us the opportunity to create a very functional but also inviting new space. We have placed a kitchen island in the middle of the room. To prevent cooking smells from travelling to the living room we mounted an over counter ceiling cooker hood. This allowed us to keep open space feel without obstructing the view while still maintaining its function to extract smells and moisture.
We have designed the kitchen layout in such a way that regardless of where our clients are working, they always have access to natural light. A huge double door fridge, perfectly fitted in custom made furniture, can store food and snacks for the whole family for a few weeks. Thin countertops we chose give the space a modern and light look.
Creating a kitchen extension allowed us to build a modern open concept kitchen with a dining room and living room. Design, look and feel of Hampton House Extension were equally important to us as functionality of the space. We took care of the right workflow in the kitchen placing fridge, sink, ovens, and cooker in strategic places. We also made sure that the aisles between the island and the rest of the room were wide enough to provide a comfortable working area without obstructing communication. New and modern installations that we have installed make this space not only modern but also future proof.

Benefits of having large windows
The access to natural light is crucial for our well-being. It helps to improve our mood and allows our eyes to rest from all the artificial light we are constantly being exposed to. During Hampton House Extension we managed to let in an abundance of natural light thanks to a glass pitched roof and stunning triangular windows together with massive glass doors. We made dining room and kitchen area light and airy thanks to installation of large windows that lit counter tops and dining table.
Our design choice creates a feeling of much more space than the house extension itself provided. The living room now seamlessly extends into a garden blurring the boundary between indoors and outdoors. We can also see an added benefit for busy parents, who while meal prepping in the kitchen can keep a watchful eye on their children playing in the garden.
What benefits did adding large windows bring to Hampton house extension?
- bring in natural light which has positive results on both health and electrical bills,
- providing passive solar heating – in other words the bigger the windows the more sunlight falls into the room naturally heating it,
- creating indoor/outdoor living space – the garden became a natural extension of the house,
- helping with ventilation – the more windows can be opened the better the ventilation,
- creating a spacious feel even in relatively small space – the view is not blocked by the walls which creates the illusion of a very roomy place.
